Sizing Guide
Understanding paver specs helps you order the right product and calculate exactly what you need for your project. Each product's packaging info is listed in your product descriptions.
Nominal vs. Actual Size The size listed in a product name (e.g., 4"x8") is the nominal size — the working dimension including a standard joint gap. The actual size is the physical measurement of the stone itself, which is slightly smaller. Both are listed on each product page.

Coverage & Pallet Coverage tells you how many square feet one pallet covers. To estimate your order: divide your total square footage by the coverage number, then round up. Always add 10% for cuts and waste. Sales are sold in full pallet quantities.
Mix Ratios (3-Piece Systems) Some products ship as a pre-mixed pallet of multiple stone sizes. The mix ratio (e.g., 17/33/50%) reflects the proportion of each size per pallet — you cannot order individual sizes separately.
20mm Porcelain pavers ship at 20mm thickness.

Product Expectations to Be Reviewed with the Customer
Because of color dye lots and natural raw materials inconsistencies, products will have color shade and texture variations. Assure an even color mix by taking pavers from several bundles or pallets at a time.
In Shellock® & Roadlock® pavers, natural shells and/or aggregates are embedded at different distances from the surface of the material. Therefore, a small percentage of the shells and/or aggregates are expected to come loose from the surface and edges of the tile. This occurrence will diminish over a short span of time and in no way will affect the strength of the product.
Due to the process required to manufacture, package, deliver, unpack, install and compact, small chipping can be expected.
Installation of coping is done by leveling from the top. Because of variations in thickness, length and width of flagstone, wet cast products, Artistic Paver products and many other natural products, there will be uneven joints between the top of tile line and the bottom of the coping. Additionally, because of dimensional differences in these products, grout joints will vary.
Pavers are calibrated to achieve a uniform thickness of approximately 1-5/8" or 2-3/8", according to the product nominal description. Artistic Paver's products are manufactured in metric sizes and are rounded to the closest size equivalent in English units.
When installing a thicker paver or paving slab on the field and a thinner paver for coping or border, the field base needs to be adjusted to match the coping and/or border thickness.
